Alan F. Davies

Somerset- Alan F. Davies, 58, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Son of the late Ivor and Clare Davies, Alan was born in Hackensack and lived in Union before moving to Somerset 26 years ago. He worked for Chubb Insurance Company in Whitehouse for more than 25 years in Information Technology. Alan is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary (Scanlon) Davies of Somerset; son, Patrick Davies of Somerset; daughter, Lisa Davies of Somerset; brothers, Hugh Davies of Richmond, VA and Steven Davies of Piscataway. Alan will be sadly missed by all who knew him and always remembered for his love of the outdoors. A celebration of his life will be planned for a later date. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.

Jack, Ann and John Kessler

We enjoyed getting to know Al through scouting, particuary on the troop committee of BSA Troop 113 in Somerset. Al always took on hard tasks and completed them with flourish. We will miss him. Jack Kessler
