Thomas Stappas

Thomas Stappas, 79, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, surrounded by his family. Tom was born in Providence, RI to the late George and Martha Stappas. His family was raised in Plainfield and Westfield before Tom moved to Bridgewater in 1999. He was an insurance advisor for over 40 years and never retired as his career brought him so much joy and fulfillment. He loved golf, always staying active, working in the yard, and bringing fun and laughter into every interaction. He was passionate in his faith and Greek heritage and enjoyed volunteering and serving within his church community and other organizations.  While he traveled a lot, he always cherished the time he spent with his granddaughters.

Tom is survived by his three sons, Michael, Bill, and Chris, and daughter-in-law, Tami, and granddaughters Lexi and Brielle.

The visitation will be held from 4-7PM, Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Bridgewater, Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.  Funeral services will be at 11AM on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 250 Gallows Hill Road, Westfield, NJ 07090.
